A temple of brick and stone masonry dedicated to goddess Bhubaneswari was built during the reign of Govindamanikya (CE 1667-1676).

The architectectural features of the temple typically resemble with the chala architecture of Bengal. The temple stands on a considerably raised platform. The finial of the temple resembles with a votive stupa. There are four tapering buttresses which are attached at the four corners of the temple. A small mukhamandapa is linked to the temple.
